Who are the first Big Corporations to participate in PITCCH?
The PITCCH project is already working on promoting connections and collaboration between well–established corporations and multinationals, and Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s), to bring quick and innovative solutions to the market. Amorim Group, KPN, Saint Gobain, P&G, EFACEC, and Aptiv are the first Big Corporations that have decided to be part of this universe of open innovation.
The Amorim Group is a dynamic Portuguese multinational. Its origins were in the cork business, back in 1870 and today it is the world leader in the sector. It owns a network of subsidiary companies for integrated cork processing which make products available to some of the most technological and demanding industries in the world, such as wine & spirits, aerospace, automobile, construction, sports, interior design and fashion.
KPN, whose full name is Koninklijke, is a Dutch fixed and mobile telecommunications company that uses green energy and operates on 2G, 3G and 4G networks. KPN started out as a public telecommunications company and its headquarters are in Rotterdam. As a Dutch market leader, this company is committed to millions of private and business customers. It has, for example, 3,588 million cellular subscribers and 3,236 million broadband households.
Saint-Gobain is a multinational French company and is present in 68 countries employing 171 000 workers. It designs, manufactures and distributes materials and solutions that can be found in buildings, transportation, infrastructure and in many industrial applications. The company gives relevance to sustainable construction, resource efficiency and climate change while providing comfort, quality and safety in its sector.
Procter & Gamble Company is an American multinational consumer goods corporation headquartered in central Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded in 1837, it produces high-quality products that make a difference in everyday life. P&G holds over 380 brands worldwide.
Efacec is a Portuguese company with a wide international presence in over 65 countries, which develops its technology in the fields of Energy Products, Systems, and Electric Mobility.
Considering the future of mobility, Aptiv, a global technology company, develops safer, more environmentally friendly, and connected solutions for the common good. Aptiv has more than 160,000 people across 126 manufacturing facilities and a presence in 44 countries.
